John Pantazopoulos is an accomplished business leader with over 20 years of executive experience in finance, capital markets and the energy sector.

With a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the Edwards School of Business, an ICD.D designation, and being a CFA Charterholder John has built a career defined by strategic decision-making, fiscal responsibility, and creating opportunities for growth.

John has also brought dedication and expertise to public service. A proud Ward 6 resident and family man, John has demonstrated his commitment to Calgary through volunteer roles on the Calgary Board of Education’s Audit Committee, where he championed accountability in public education, and as Chair of the Calgary Parking Authority, ensuring fair and transparent municipal governance.

In addition to his public service, John is deeply connected to his community. He is a vocal supporter of Calgary’s local music scene, minor league sports, and grassroots initiatives that enhance quality of life for families and residents. As someone who has lived and worked in Ward 6 for years, he understands the unique challenges and opportunities facing the community.

Recognized as one of Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40 (2017) and a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee Medal (2023), John is known for his ability to bring people together, build trust, and deliver results. Whether steering complex business initiatives or advocating for local issues, he has a proven track record of leading with integrity and vision.
